🐋 The Dive

Guide your whale down to the treasure chest on the seabed. Your oxygen drains constantly and every move costs a breath — so pick your path, don't thrash around. Crack the chest open and a water portal tears open right beside it: step into the portal to descend to the next level. Cracking the chest tops up your air too. 100 levels down.

🦈 Predators by Habitat

Different depths, different hunters — all of them patrol the lanes inside swirling currents. Touch one and it knocks you back toward the surface and costs air. Time your moves through the gaps.

🫧 Air Bubbles

Pockets of trapped air drift in the calm water. Swim into one to grab a breath and restore oxygen — a lifeline on the deeper, busier levels.

🪼 Jellyfish

Translucent jellies drift through the water. Brush one and it gives a light sting — a small nip of oxygen, no real harm. Annoying in a crowd, not deadly.

🪨 Rocks

Boulders block their cell — you can't swim through them, so plan your path around them.

🐬 Dolphin Allies

You're not alone down here. Pods of dolphins streak across the trench and stun every predator in a lane as they pass — watch for one and dart through the lane it clears.

🐚 Wealthy Whales — Pearls (NFT holders)

Hold a Wealthy Whale (either Gen counts the same) and you unlock pearls — a currency only holders earn. Three things come with it:

1. Earn pearls. Glowing pearls drift through the dives — swim into them to collect. They're worth more the deeper you go (a rising ×multiplier you'll see up top), and beating a Kraken drops a fat pearl bonus in its hoard.

2. Keep them — or lose them. Pearls you pick up are AT RISK until banked. If you run out of air, the deep keeps every unbanked pearl. Lock them in safely by surfacing (the Surface button) or by clearing a Kraken (a checkpoint). So every level is a bet: push deeper for more, or surface and bank what you've got.

3. Spend them. Banked pearls live in your Vault (saved to your wallet between runs). Before a dive, spend them in the shop on stackable upgrades:

You also get a permanent XP multiplier (+20% for one whale, up to +50%) and a pearl bonus (+20% for one WW, up to +60% for a large pod) — more Wealthy Whales = more pearls per boss clear.

⚡ Depth Rewards (every 5 levels)

Every 5 levels (including boss levels, except level 100) you earn a Depth Reward — choose one upgrade that persists until you die or beat level 100. Stack them to build a stronger whale as you go deeper.

🐳 Security Orca (NFT holders)

Own a Secret Society Security Orca? Load your wallet and it joins the dive. The Orca surfaces now and then and fires a cannonball down a row — freezing any predators it hits, and blasting the Kraken for damage in boss fights. Your own armed escort to the bottom.

🎯 Boss Fights

Every 20 levels is a boss fight. You get a Depth Reward before each one (except level 100). Each boss is completely unique:

🌊 Echolocation (the final 20 levels)

In the Abyss the water goes black. Like a real sperm whale, you ping sonar — an expanding ring that lights the field and freezes the single nearest predator lane. Moose swim at the surface, so sonar can't touch them. Time your moves to each ping.
